Planning an event is pure joy to me, I love all the moving parts and then getting to see everyone enjoy it. Taking on an event of this magnitude was a first for me and was very trying but we prevailed, we hosted our first annual event to a whopping 13 people. But as my partner, Toya always reminds me, the Industry needs a platform like this. It’s growing leaps and bounds, there is so much interest out there, lets curate a place to share that authentically. Women of Color especially need models to see its possible to leave the 9-5 model of making money.
